Vince Salerno was born and raised to a working class family in East Detroit as one of five siblings. His father was a skill tradesman/local union officer and his mother worked the polling booths on election days. A product of his upbringing, Vince is a blue collar guy who worked his way through law school as an intern at the UAW International Headquarters in Detroit MI and the AFL-CIO in Lansing MI.
